LUXURY VILLAGE
Half Moon Bay was an extensive multi-operational project with areas varying from residential villas to commercial buildings to the landscape in between. Taking inspiration from traditional mountain ink paintings, the undulating landscape was created with its variety of towers and villas.
Alongside documenting and keeping a coherent design language amongst all 14 buildings, 72 villas, and the wider landscape, I focused on the design of the Commercial Village. This village is a collection of seven buildings of varying heights, connected by glazed bridges. Their sloping roofs cover a variety of shopping areas, circulation spaces, and chill-out zones to accommodate its residents.
"From the side,
a whole range; from the end,
a single peak;
far, near, high, low; no two views alike."
